Dear friends and supporters,

As May is a Mental Health Awareness Month, I come to you with a request to support a cause that is near and dear to my heart. As a board member of Mental Health Advocacy Services (MHAS), a nonprofit organization that provides free legal services to children and adults with mental illnesses, I have seen firsthand the impact that mental health issues can have on individuals and their families.
For me, this cause is personal. I have struggled with depression and anxiety for several years, and I know firsthand how debilitating mental health issues can be. When your mind is not functioning properly, it affects every aspect of your life. Unfortunately, many people in our community are struggling with mental health issues, and they may not have the resources or support they need to get the help they need.
As I walk downtown, I am saddened to see the growing number of homeless individuals, many of whom are struggling with mental health issues. MHAS plays a vital role in providing these individuals with the support and resources they need to get back on their feet. Since 1977, MHAS has been advocating for the rights of people with mental disabilities and helping them obtain government benefits and services.
But our work is far from over. Every day, we see more and more individuals and families affected by mental illness, and the need for our services continues to grow. With your support, we can serve more people and provide them with the resources and advocacy they need to live their lives to the fullest.
Please consider donating today. Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a world of difference to someone who is struggling with mental illness. With your beautiful heart and generosity, we can make a real impact in our community.
Thank you for your consideration and support. Together, we can help make Mental Health Awareness Month a time of hope and healing for all those affected by mental illness.
